Vitamin D3 is produced in the skin as a result of UVB radiation. It is a myth and not a fact that in tanning facilities vitamin D3 is produced, as most tanning beds emit UVA rays, which significantly age the skin and increase the risk of skin cancer. This is why, in the autumn and winter periods, all people should take vitamin D3.
